Originally from the north of France where I grew up, I traveled to Asia for the first time at the end of 2010. It was a wonderful adventure where I was able to make wonderful discoveries. I explain here what pushed me to travel to this country and finally to live there.

Originally from the north of France where I grew up, I traveled to Asia for the first time at the end of 2010. It was a wonderful adventure where I was able to make wonderful discoveries. I explain here what pushed me to travel to this country and finally to live there.

2009 was a bad year for me. So when a cousin from Vietnam invited me for some holiday, I didn't hesitate a second. As soon I arrived in Vietnam, I felt alive again. It was a complete change of scenery, and it did me the greatest good. A 3-week trip where I had the opportunity to travel Vietnam from south to north, discovering wonderful people and landscapes.

On my return in France, I thought only of leaving again, back to the reality was hard. The problems at work, the monotony of life, the people I met in town had closed faces. We were far from the smiles and the joy that I had known in Asia.

But a 3 weeks trip for holiday, it's necessarily more attractive than living and working every day. Will life still be so good if I stay in Vietnam for the long term? Could I adapt to another way of life? Lots of questions I needed to find an answer to.

That's why I made the decision to go back to Vietnam, but for 3 months. A kind of trial period. And how you can expect, this test was conclusive. After 3 months, I wanted to stay. But I had things to settle in France. So it was in 2012 that I flew again to Vietnam but this time to settle down.

I don't like to tell my life too much, so now I'm going to stop talking about myself and I'm going to focus in the next posts, on the discoveries and experiences to live in Asia and Vietnam.

We hope that this feedback can be useful to you. I will share with you the tips for doing well in Vietnam and Asia.

We will speak about:
